General Forum Guidelines

As in all games, there MUST be rules. This forum is no different!

This is a moderated forum however, moderators will only intervene when necessary and only if members are posting things which are considered overtly profane, completely disrespectful, libelous or not deemed to be in the spirit of this forum. The spirit of this forum is as follows;

Members are expected to be Alex Rodriguez fans. That's the one pre-requisite for being here. If you've come here to disrespect Alex or his family, then you can expect to be banned fairly promptly. However, this does not mean that he is beyond or above criticism. People can be the biggest A-Rod fan in the world and still dislike certain things. We want open and varied discussions about baseball and other subjects and opinions will be respected by the administration/moderating team. The spirit of this forum is also based around the spirit of Baseball being the sport of our true heroes.

What will not be tolerated is racism, sexism, homophobia or any other comments which are based on prejudice and are stated to cause grevious offense. Respect is the key on this forum but, again, in the interests of free speech and open discussion, we will not invoke our right to censor unless we feel it is absolutely necessary. As this can be viewed by children, discussions and posts which are overtly sexual cannot be permitted, so please try to keep the innuendo to a very bare minimum. Members who are continuously disruptive and post to cause or inflame arguments will be dealt with promptly.

If a forum member makes a post that you believe to be offensive, please do not reply to the post and contact a moderator OR administrator at the first available opportunity. The admin team have been members of forums and know how frustrating it can be when people make such comments and will react with sympathy if you feel like you must have your 'right to reply', but we would prefer members to 'count to ten' and let us deal with it. If you react in such a manner which could also be considered offensive, you could find yourself also being warned regarding your conduct, but we will do our best to treat all complaints seriously and to deal with them to both your and our satisfaction.

Finally, all warnings and bans are at the discretion of the administration team hence there are no fixed number of warnings you can get before you face a suspension or ban - it will, however, be made perfectly clear when you are on your final warning... and for extremely serious matters an instant ban can also apply. Having said all that (and I'm afraid that we have to so everyone knows where they stand), we do not want to warn or ban people at all, so please don't force our hand and make us!

Most importantly, anyone who messages any child under the age of 18 with any improper advances will not only be banned from this board, their internet service provider will be notified and they will be dealt with in a legal manner. This is a family forum, and will be conducted as such.
